About Course

The Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Analyst program is a comprehensive one-year certification course designed to equip learners with industry-relevant skills in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Reinforcement Learning. The course provides a strong foundation in Python programming, data analytics, SQL, and data visualization, enabling participants to work effectively with large datasets and derive meaningful insights. Learners will gain hands-on experience in developing machine learning models, applying deep learning techniques, and building intelligent systems for real-world applications. Advanced modules cover state-of-the-art NLP methods, transfer learning, and reinforcement learning frameworks, preparing participants for emerging AI-driven industries. The curriculum combines theoretical understanding with extensive practical training through projects, case studies, and industry-oriented assignments. Delivered by experienced faculty members from IIT Guwahati and supported by research scholars and industry experts, the program aims to develop competent AI/ML professionals ready for careers in data analytics, intelligent systems development, and advanced AI research.


Module 1: Introduction to Data Science using Python:

Basics of Data Science and programming, Python fundamentals: syntax, data types, control flow, functions, OOP, Data handling: cleaning, pre-processing, feature engineering. Statistics: hypothesis testing, regression, probability. Libraries: Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn. Working with and analysing large datasets. Introduction to production-level Python applications.

Module 2: Mastering SQL and Visualization Tool – Tableau:

SQL basics: SELECT, filtering, sorting, limiting results. Database design: tables, primary/foreign keys, constraints. Data analysis using SQL. Query optimization, indexing, performance tuning. Basics of fault-tolerant systems (failover, redundancy). Tableau: data connection, cleaning, transformation. Creating visualizations: charts, heat maps, dashboards. Interactive dashboards with filters, parameters, and insights

Module 3: AI/ML: The Future is Now:

Machine Learning types: supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning. Algorithms: Linear & Logistic Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forest, SVM. Clustering: K-means, Hierarchical. Dimensionality Reduction: PCA, t-SNE. Model evaluation: accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, ROC. Feature selection and engineering. Ensemble learning (bagging, boosting). Basics of Neural Networks, CNN, RNN

Module 4: Advanced NLP with Deep Learning and RL:

Text pre-processing: tokenization, stemming, lemmatization. Sentiment Analysis and Text Classification. Named Entity Recognition (NER). Deep Learning: CNN, RNN, LSTM, GRU. Transfer learning and fine-tuning models. Reinforcement Learning basics: MDP, Q-learning. Applying NLP and RL to real-world problems

FEES

Course Break-up:

The total course fee is ₹1,00,000. 
This course is divided into three levels: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced.

  • The Beginner level covers Modules 1 and 2 over 4 months and has a course fee of ₹20,000.
  • The Intermediate level consists of Module 3, which is conducted over 4 months, and carries a course fee of ₹40,000.
  • The Advanced level includes Module 4, which also spans 4 months, and has a course fee of ₹40,000

Certification

Certificates will be provided by IIT Guwahati to all participants upon successful completion of the course, after clearing all assessment exams and submitting the capstone project.
